About Me:
I'm a Software Engineer with 4+ years of experience across Full-Stack, Front-End, and SDET roles who is passionate about making quality products that deliver the best client experience. I currently build desktop trading features at Charles Schwab in Java/Swing, and recently rotated onto the Thinkorswim Web team, delivering client-facing features in TypeScript and React. Software Engineering, Web Development, and Game Development are my biggest passions. You can click here to view my Resume.
Career Goals
My desire is to join a team of passionate Software Engineers or Game Developers looking to create a product/service with a massive wide-reaching impact on people. I want to know that my contributions help people improve their lives, whether that means by giving them a break from the difficulties of everyday life, or giving them something to laugh about.
As long as my products help others, that's a win in my book.
Skills and Tools
General Knowledge:
- Jira
- Bitbucket / GitHub
- TeamCity / GCP
- Grafana
- Docker / Linux
Working in a corporate environment has taught me a lot about standard development practices and the tools used to make everything happen. I track work in Jira, use Bitbucket and GitHub for version control, and deploy and test feature branches with TeamCity and GCP. I regularly review Grafana dashboards to spot delivery bottlenecks, and rely on Docker and Linux day to day to keep my development environment consistent.
Software Development and Languages:
- Java / Swing
- TypeScript / JavaScript
- C#
- Git
- AI Tooling
As a Software Development Engineer on Thinkorswim Desktop, I use Java and Swing to build and ship client-facing trading features. I recently rotated onto the Thinkorswim Web team, where I worked in TypeScript across a modern front-end stack. I also use C# for API automation, and lean on AI tooling to help move faster and catch regressions earlier.
Web Development:
- React.js / Redux.js
- Node.js / Express
- Vite
- HTML / CSS
- WCAG / Accessibility
During my rotation on Thinkorswim Web, I built and deployed client-facing trading features with React, Redux, Node.js, Express, and Vite, and drove WCAG accessibility compliance across the UI, including screen-reader support and keyboard navigation. This website has also been a long-running project for learning Web Development from the ground up, starting from raw HTML and CSS.
Frameworks & QA Tools:
- IntelliJ IDEA
- Gherkin / Espresso / XCUI
- LaunchDarkly
- Clickstream
- Bitrise
My SDET background on Schwab Mobile had me writing UI and API automation with Gherkin, Espresso, and XCUI, and using Bitrise's CI/CD pipeline to track down and resolve failures. On the Web team, I used LaunchDarkly to manage feature rollouts and Clickstream to improve product analytics. IntelliJ has stayed a constant across all of it as my go-to IDE.
